FBR Issues Clarification on Access to Banking Transaction
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a clarification about the emails and social media posts circulating regarding access to FBR on banking transactions.

FBR has underlined that there is no link or access to any level of banking transactions with banks or financial organizations. Similarly, FBR does not offer a fingerprint authentication technique.
The FBR’s tax profile data contains solely offline bank account numbers that are not associated with banks or other financial organizations.

Therefore, there is zero risk of unauthorized access to any level of transaction banking. FBR has determined that messages circulating via email and social media are false and unfounded.
