FDA Invites Objections to ‘Unannounced’ Master Plan
Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has solicited suggestions and complaints to the district’s master plan from the public, but officials are not sharing the blueprint with the media and other interested parties.

The master plan envisions the industrial, commercial, economic, and agricultural development of the city, as well as the building of roads network, transportation, energy, sanitation, waste management, and other infrastructure through the formulation of land use principles.
The plan was accepted in 2014 during a meeting presided over by then-commissioner Naseem Nawaz, and it was announced in 2015. At the time, Noorul Ameen Mengal was the district coordination officer for Faisalabad.

A trader stated that when the FDA issued the Peri Urban Plan, they did not consult with interested parties, and the same was true this time.
The FDA spokesperson was also asked for a copy of the proposed plan, which he promised but did not provide until the report was filed.
