Federal Government will Release Funds for SEZ Development
According to news reports, in Lahore, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan stated that the federal government will provide financing to complete development work in Punjab’s nine Special Economic Zones (SEZ).

The provincial government will release and use the monies to allay the anxieties of international investors. The decision was made during a private meeting with Usman Buzdar, the chief minister of Punjab.
In its annual Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), the federal government has allocated funds for the expeditious completion of SEZs. The Punjab administration has requested that the funds be made available immediately so that the state can begin construction on grid stations, electrical lines, and gas pipelines.
Sheikhupura and Faisalabad Special Economic Zone (SEZ) initiatives under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) need to be prioritized by the provincial administration in order to reap the benefits.

Prime Minister Khan further underlined the importance of creating projects for Lahore and claimed that it must be developed into an ideal city.
In addition, he urged city officials to prioritize road maintenance and projects designed to transform the city into a garden city. Members and representatives of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) also provided updates on ongoing and upcoming city beautification and development projects.
