First Phase of Kurram Tangi Dam to Complete in 2023
Islamabad: According to news sources, the Kurram Tangi dam project’s initial phase will be finished by 2023, according to the chairman (retired) of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), Lt Gen Muzammil Hussain.
According to him, once the project was finished, it would help agriculture in the province’s outlying districts and bring about sustainable growth.

According to the specifics, the project management gave the chairman a status update on the dam’s development and assured him that hastened work would enable the project to be finished on schedule.
According to reports, one of the initiatives being created in Spinwam, North Waziristan, to elevate former Federally Administered Tribal Areas is the Kurram Tangi Dam (FATA).
When the project’s first stage is finished, 16,380 acres of land will be irrigated, and 19 MW of power will be produced.
The project will be funded with USD 80 million from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and USD 45 million from an Italian Bank soft loan to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
