Five-Day Gandhara Festival at Taxila Museum Launches
According to published reports, the Center for Culture and Development (CCD) in Islamabad has organised a five-day Gandhara Festival that will begin at Taxila Museum and feature storytelling sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions.

The festival will be open to the public from October 6 through October 9. Izzah Khan, director of the Center for Cultural Diversity, stated that the festival aims to promote cultural pluralism, highlight the respect for cultural diversity and heritage, and integrate the intangible and tangible cultural heritage of Gandhara Civilization through panel discussions, showcasing of local crafts, exhibition, and site visits.

She added that CCD hopes to attract a diverse audience comprised of educational institutions, diplomatic missions, researchers, artists, academics, and government agencies.
It was also mentioned that the festival focuses on exploring the Buddhist and Jain history of the Gandhara Civilization in Pakistan. In addition, CCD Director Khan stated that youth should be educated on their culture and heritage in order for them to feel connected to their roots.
