Forest Conservation Crucial to Maintain Ecosystems
Muzaffarabad: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Sardar Masood Khan, urged residents of the freed region to assist the forest department in efforts to preserve woodlands and preserve natural ecosystems.

The president noted that the AJK territory was well known for its stunning green forests and mild climate and declared that every member of society had a responsibility to preserve this wealth in order to keep the region alluring to tourists on the one hand and preserve the ecological balance to protect future generations.
He also urged the department of forests to cooperate with other government institutions and neighborhood-based groups in order to persuade, direct, and assist people in choosing alternate fuel sources rather than relying on forest wood for cooking and heating.

He asserted that the TBTTP’s goal had mainly been met and that AJK had performed far better than the rest of Pakistan.
Mr. Gillani stated that the Integrated Community Watershed Management programme was also running in the districts of Muzaffarabad, Poonch, and Mirpur when describing other initiatives of the forest department.
