Forest Department to Preserve, Eco Conserve Lal Sohanra Park
The forest department’s proposal for the preservation and eco-conservation of Lal Sohanra National Park will cost PKR 120 million, according to sources from Bahawalpur.
According to press accounts, the Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Department solicited bids from companies interested in working at the park. The Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Ijaz Ahmed Tabbasum, announced that a natural habitat would be constructed on 2,700 acres for the nourishment and reproduction of nilgai, chinkara deer, and blackbucks.
In addition, the park will incorporate native tree species and grasses such as jand, beri, and keekar, as specified. The Lal Sohanra National Park will also include 54 ponds that are animal-friendly.

In addition, the eco-preservation of the natural ecosystem is scheduled to be finished within two years. Local community members will share habitat maintenance tasks. The forest officer indicated that bids would be solicited by the end of the month.
