Leh Nullah Development Authority on Cards to Tackle Monsoon
Recent reports indicate that the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) will establish the Leh Nullah Development Authority (LNDA) to combat the yearly monsoon flooding in Nullah Leh.

According to the specifics, the decision was made based on provincial government directions, and a summary has been drafted to be presented to the provincial legislature for final approval. To minimize urban floods, the construction of LNDA would improve policy formulation and infrastructure management along Nullah Leh.
In addition, according to authorities privy to the information, the previously proposed PC-I for the 16.5-kilometer-long Leh Nullah Expressway and Flood Channel has been handed to the Planning and Development Board of Punjab for final approval.
Nevertheless, RDA is also conducting a feasibility assessment for the establishment of an Economic Zone (EZ) along Nullah Leh. Nonetheless, the freeway project will not begin until the EZ study is concluded.
