Islamabad: An Islamabad Police official confirmed that Former AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Arrested, the former prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), was taken into custody from his home on Sunday night. 

According to the spokesman, Ilyas was the subject of a first information report. An FIR against Tanveer Ilyas was filed on April 30 at the capital’s Margalla Police Station.

The FIR against Tanvir Ilyas was launched under Sections 452, 448, 506-II, 148, and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

The News claims that the former AJK PM’s main security officer, Col (retd) Tepu Sultan, who also runs an Islamabad commercial center, filed a formal complaint. 

 According to the police, the Former AJK PM Sardar Tanveer Ilyas was arrested because he used force and shotgun fire in an attempt to take control of the retail center’s central offices and important documents.  

In the FIR against Tanvir Ilyas, Sultan has also proposed Muhammad Ali, Anil Sultan, Rizwan, and other unidentified people. 

The FIR launched against Tanvir Ilyas states that Ilyas broke the lock on the shopping mall office to gain entry and take control of the area. He was joined by a group of 20 to 25 armed persons.

It further claimed that Ilyas threatened to assassinate Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Sardar Dr. Rashid Ilyas Khan, and his colleagues and that the watchful security guards foiled their efforts.

The FIR against Tanveer Ilyas further stated that these people physically attacked the security guard. The local police took initiatives for the former AJK PM Arrest. When law enforcement learned of the occurrence, they went to the location where the former AJK PM Tnveer Ilyas had reportedly fired shots at Sultan, who had just about escaped.
