Fresh Alignment of Rawalpindi Ring Road Begins
Rawalpindi: The Punjab government has started restructuring the Rawalpindi Ring Road. The decision came after Prime Minister Imran Khan drew attention to claims that the much-needed Rawalpindi ring road project had been reoriented. This has reportedly benefited some private housing associations as well as he added Rs 250 crore to the cost of the project.

The Secretary-General has ordered alternative proposals, including cost estimates, to be submitted as soon as possible so that the project can be completed on the same budget.
He dispelled all rumors that the Rawalpindi ring road project had been discontinued.
Furthermore, he added that it is clear that the project is important to Rawalpindi residents and there is no point in stopping it. In fact, it has been rendered incorruptible and serves the public good rather than personal gain.

Critical to this is the Rawalpindi Ring Road project by the Government of Punjab. Once completed, it will reduce traffic congestion in the two cities, saving time and money on the daily commute between the two cities.
