Funds Allocated for Renovation of Islamabad’s Melody Food Park
According to media reports, Islamabad Member of National Assembly (MNA) Zille Huma announced that Melody Food Park, the only food street in the city, will be renovated at a total cost of PKR 10 million.

During her remarks at the press conference, Zille Huma stated that the work will commence in a few weeks. Once finished, the park will serve as a major attraction for the locals. In addition, it was mentioned that handicraft stalls will be set up in the park to create employment opportunities for women.
In addition, Secretary Food Park Mumtaz Ahmed disclosed that the food park floor must be properly cleaned in order to resemble a dining hall.

He added that a boundary wall is required so that people can identify which stalls are located in the food street. Under the oversight of the Directorate of Municipal Administration, a management committee will be established (DMA).
President of the All-Rawalpindi Restaurants Association Chaudhry Farooq began by stating that it is an enormous development that will revitalise business in the region. It was also mentioned that tourists who visit the capital city will sample the local cuisine, which will enhance the country’s reputation.
