FWO Provides Update on the Peri-urban Housing Project’s Progress
The Frontier Works Organization (FWO) has reportedly upgraded its various development projects across the nation, including the Punjab peri-urban low-cost housing project. The initiative, which is being carried out in collaboration with the National Logistic Cell (NLC), provides ten various locations in Lahore with constructed homes.

According to the FWO, construction of the 3.5-Marla low-cost housing project on Raiwind Road is proceeding rapidly, with completion anticipated within the specified timeframe. The construction of the homes’ block masonry and outside sheathing is progressing, according to the most recent available information.
In addition, as part of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program, the provincial government of Punjab plans to expand the peri-urban housing project to 135 sites in 35 districts (NPHP). The Punjab Board of Revenue will provide the project with land. It includes the completed project.

Each peri-urban housing development will contain between 100 and 500 subsidized residential homes. The FWO recently granted the Rawalpindi Ring Road contract at PKR 22.8 billion (RRR). The showpiece project has been in development for some time and will be finished within two years. The FWO was able to acquire the contract by giving PKR 300 million significantly less than the price quoted. The group is also laying the framework for a project involving an above water tank.
