GB Airports Become Country’s Busiest
Islamabad: On Tuesday, approximately 16 PIA flights flew to and from Skardu and Gilgit, resulting in a sharp increase in flight operations that put them on par with Pakistan’s main cities.

Flights were constantly arriving and departing at the same time, creating a commotion at the airports. In a video made public by a PIA spokeswoman, planes arriving and departing in the distance made the sky above northern regions appear particularly congested.
The most flights ever conducted in a single day in the history of the nation were eight each to the airports in Gilgit and Islamabad by PIA, according to records.
According to a PIA spokeswoman, the airline is working tirelessly to develop domestic tourism in Pakistan and provide comfortable travel services to the local population in order to carry out its mission and serve the broader national interest.

The new airlines are required by aviation legislation to run domestic flights for at least a year before beginning international flight operations.
As the aviation sector continues to experience the biggest financial crisis since the beginning of the Covid-19 epidemic, the launch of three new airlines is expected to result in the creation of a sizable number of new employment.
