Google TV is Getting 800 New Free Channels

These days, FAST (free ad-supported streaming television) channels are omnipresent and are becoming more and more popular as a result of their mix of news programming and free familiar replays. Nearly all contemporary smart TVs are equipped with a selection of these channels, and both Roku and Amazon (with Fire TV) are strong proponents of them.

Google is now even more dedicated than previously to linear, fast content. The world’s largest search engine has added 800 new channels to its list that are available for free viewing.

With this addition, there are now more than 800 free TV channels available to consumers across various providers, all of which can be accessed via the live TV guide. However, in order to access some channels, accompanying apps may still need to be installed and used.

Introducing All Android TVs
As a statement of its commitment to the service and that it is determined to give FAST top priority, Google has revealed plans to later this year make the TV guide and free channels available to qualified Android TV devices.

This will be accessible on gear running Android TV, such the Nvidia Shield TV, in addition to the more recent versions of Google TV software.

When you’ve had enough of popular streaming services like Netflix or HBO Max, FAST programming is a great alternative for individuals who don’t want to pay for live TV subscription services.

Google claims that while it is impossible to totally conceal the FAST material, your subscription-based live TV channels will be displayed above the FAST channels at the top of the channel list.
