The federal government has reduced petrol and diesel prices by Rs. 5 per litre for the next seven days, according to sources.
After the latest revision, petrol will now cost Rs. 409.78 per litre, while diesel prices have been reduced to Rs. 409.58 per litre.
The Petroleum Division is expected to issue an official notification confirming the revised fuel prices.
The new rates will take effect immediately from Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The reduction comes only a week after the government increased fuel prices on May 9, when diesel prices were raised by Rs. 15 per litre and petrol prices by Rs. 14.92 per litre.
