Govt Approves RS 1.625bn to Finance 13 Petroleum Projects
Under the Public Sector Development Programmed, the federal government has given Rs1.625 billion for the completion of seven ongoing and six new petroleum-related projects to boost the energy sector (PSDP).

According to the details, Rs1,473.683 billion will be distributed among the seven ongoing schemes, with Rs263 million earmarked for the establishment of the National Minerals Data Centre (NMDC), Rs345.321 million for the expansion and upgradation of the Pakistan Petroleum Core House (PETCORE), Rs30 million for the geological mapping of 50 out of 354 unmapped Top sheets in the Outcrop Area of Balochistan province, and Rs385.336 million for the strengthening and upgradation of the Karachi

Similarly, Rs1,775,857 million has been allocated to fund the new schemes, of which Rs40 million has been set aside for the development of Strategic Underground Gas Storage (SUGS), Rs30 million for Legal Consultancy Services for drafting of Model Mineral Agreement and updating of Regulatory Framework (Federal and Provincial Minerals/Coal Departments) prepared by Mineral Wing, Petroleum Division, and Rs40 million for the Pakistan National Research Programmed on Geological Hazards (Earthquakes and Landslides)
