Government Asked to Set up High School in Shamlai
The citizens of Shamlai, Battagram, have requested the establishment of a high school in the union council’s nine elementary schools.

They stated at a khuli kutcheri in the region that the government should compensate them for the hailstorm that had ruined their crops.
Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Khan presided over the khuli kutcheri, which was attended by Assistant Commissioner Tehmas Ayub, representatives of line departments, and locals.
However, most participants stated that these open sessions were ineffective because they did not witness the settlement of any public issue raised at such meetings.

As there were limits, Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Khan informed the participants of the khuli kutcheri that his office could not handle all issues. He stated that actions were taken to resolve the issues. He stated that they contacted the appropriate departments to resolve public issues.
Mr. Khan stated that resolving problems within the health and education departments was their highest concern.
