Government Automating USC to Curb Corruption
Islamabad: The secretary of industry and production informed the panel of concerned officials that the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) is corrupt since its products are allegedly sold on the open market.

The USC is a state-owned company that runs chain stores across the nation to offer everyday necessities to the general population at costs that are cheaper than those found on the open market.
The committee was also made aware that Pakistan produces more than a million mobile phones each month but only 3.6 million are needed.

In their briefing, ministry representatives informed the audience that the government has eliminated taxes and tariffs at such charging stations while also providing tax breaks on electric cars (EVs) and the infrastructure needed to support them.
The prime minister has taken notice of an increase in tractor prices, and the administration is acting to address this, the standing committee was informed.
The committee was informed that the government was making efforts to encourage the usage of tiny automobiles in the hopes that people would abandon motorbikes in favour of them.
