Government Disburses Billions of Rupees for Social Sector
Under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2021/22, the federal government has so far allocated Rs 133.664 billion out of a total of Rs 900 billion for a number of ongoing and new social sector development projects.

The most recent information was given by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, and it showed that the monies released included Rs 98.98 billion for federal ministries, Rs 21.58 billion for businesses, and Rs 13.1 billion for special areas.
The National Highway Authority has received Rs 15.72 billion of the PSDP allocation of Rs 113.75 billion, the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) has received Rs 5.86 billion of the allocation of Rs 69.48 billion, and the Water Resources Division has received Rs 12.7 billion of the total amount of Rs 103.47 billion.

The National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division has so far received Rs 2.07 billion, followed by the Interior Division with Rs 4.21 billion in development money.
Moreover, the government has given the Revenue Division Rs 471 million, while the Cabinet Division has so far received Rs 9.23 billion. For development projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), an additional Rs 5.9 billion of the PSDP allocation of Rs 32.04 billion has been made available, and the government has made Rs 7.18 billion of the total sum of Rs 37.90 billion available for projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.
