Govt Included Transgender Community in Ehsaas Kafalat Program
According to news reports, the administration of Islamabad has decided to incorporate the whole transgender population in the Ehsaas Kafalat programme.

The board of directors approved making transgender individuals with valid CNICs eligible for this financial help at a meeting. A monthly stipend of PKR 2,000 and a bank savings account will be offered as part of the scheme.
Transgender individuals are frequently shunned and compelled to live in a different community. Participation in the Ehsaas Kafalat programme by the transgender community is a crucial step towards their social integration.
In addition, the board approved the building of 154 district-level Ehsaas one-window centres around the nation. These centres will offer all services under one roof, which will be convenient for customers. The centres will be constructed as soon as the orders are received.

In addition, the board expanded the Ehsaas education stipends to the secondary and upper secondary levels, to be implemented the following month. The purpose of the initiative is to encourage girls to enrol in middle and high school. The education allowance for girls will be PKR 4,000 per quarter, whilst the allowance for boys would be PKR 3,500 per quarter.
All payments will be made biometrically to the moms of enrolled children, per the scheme.
