Government Pays Off 40% of Pending Payment to 20 IPPs

In accordance with the Honorable Prime Minister’s instructions and with the help of the Finance Minister, the Government has successfully completed the first payment transaction of 40% to 20 IPPs, totaling Rs. 89.2 billion that was equally divided between cash, Sukuk for five years, and PIBs for ten years.

This transaction was carried out by the Finance Division in conjunction with the State Bank of Pakistan and the Power Division, among other pertinent institutions/departments.
