Government Releases Funds for Aviation Sector Projects
In the most recent fiscal year, the government released funding totaling $582.450 million to carry out about 15 aviation-related projects as part of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP 2020-21).
As of June 26, according to the official data, Rs. 582.450 million has been released in comparison to the amended budget of Rs. 805.550 million for the prompt and efficient completion of the projects.

For the construction of the Airport Security Force (ASF) Camp at Islamabad International Airport and the construction of barracks for ASF soldiers together with mess and auxiliary facilities, respectively, funds totaling Rs 50 million and Rs 69.756 million have been set aside.
While it will cost Rs 100 million to build the rainwater harvesting Kasana Dam, Rs 63.553 million to build triple-story housing for ASF employees at Lahore Airport, and Rs 99.367 million to build triple-story housing for ASF employees at Multan Airport, along with a mess hall and amusement room.

The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIA) project will cost Rs 519 million, while Rs 55 million will be used for the installation of a weather surveillance radar in Karachi. Additionally, Rs 41 million will be used for a reverse linkage project between the Pakistan Meteorological Department and the Marmara Research Center in Turkey, and Rs 10 million will be used to upgrade the ASF Academy in Karachi.
