Government to Allocate RS 55 Billion for CPEC

Islamabad: The output of four significant crops as well as three minor crops showed record production this season compared to a year earlier, indicating a reduction in the country’s dependency on food imports in the forthcoming fiscal year 2021–2022. (FY22).

Fakhar Imam, the minister for national food security research, made this revelation while holding a news conference.

The minister said that a record amount of wheat, rice, maize, potatoes, onions, and groundnuts were produced as a result of a plentiful supply of high-quality seeds and a favourable climate.

CPEC projects now cost a total of 1.6 trillion rupees, of which 305 billion have been been spent on these programmes. Officials from the Ministry of Planning predict that Rs 1.3 trillion would be needed to complete these projects.
