Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division Aurangzeb Khan Khichi on Wednesday said that the government is committed to strengthening Pakistan’s cultural sector and encouraging women’s active participation in national development.

Addressing a seminar organized by Grow Women as Chief Guest, the minister appreciated Founder and CEO of Grow Women Romana Chaudhary for offering a platform that promotes cultural engagement, community development, and the empowerment of women.

The minister noted a large number of women from different parts of the country, saying their growing involvement marks a significant increase in participation compared to previous years.

He further said that Pakistani society is rooted in values of goodwill, charity, and collective welfare.
He reiterated that the Ministry of Culture and its affiliated institutions like PNCA and Lok Virsa are ready to collaborate on projects that promote cultural understanding and community development.

The minister encouraged women to continue sharing ideas and participating actively in national initiatives aimed at advancing the country’s cultural landscape.

“In the recent Lok Mela organized by the Cultural Ministry, the number of women artists crossed the men’s participation. The response showed women’s increasing interest in arts and culture,” he added.

Managing Director of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP), Muhammad Asim Khichi, also attended the event.

He commended the organization for its role in promoting cultural diversity and reaffirmed APP’s support for initiatives that showcase Pakistan’s heritage and uplift women across the country.
