Gulab Devi Underpass Set to Open for Traffic on December 20
Lahore: According to news reports, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has declared that the Gulab Devi Underpass will be available to traffic by December 20. In this regard, the authorities has disclosed the project’s construction schedule.

According to the specifications, the LDA will initiate barrel road carpeting, retaining walls, and the underpass’s water boundaries.
The project’s last phase has already begun and will last through December 20. In addition, the LDA presented Usman Buzdar, the chief minister of Punjab, with three concepts for the final finish and beautifying; the chief minister chose the design with aluminum work.
In a similar fashion, the LDA has began developing side roads commencing at Burj Lahore. Notably, the LDA began construction of the Gulab Devi Underpass in June, and Prime Minister Buzdar laid the cornerstone on July 19.
The project is located on Ferozpur Road, one of the busiest routes in the city with considerable traffic flow. Consistent congestion of highways during peak hours caused enormous traffic bottlenecks. The issue will presumably be resolved after the underpass is constructed.
