Gwadar Airport Construction Advances 300 MW Coal Power
ISLAMABAD, January 17, 2023- Work on the $230 million megaproject Gwadar International Airport was taking place quickly.
Recently, the Chinese Consul General in Karachi, Li Bijan, indicated that work on the $230 million megaproject Gwadar International Airport was advancing rapidly. According to a statement released by the DGPR today, the work was completed using 4,600 tons of steel. The airport’s steel construction, weighing 4,600 tons, has been completed, and work is currently ongoing on the roof, interior, and electromechanical equipment installation. In addition, a meeting led by the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, has approved implementing a 300 MW coal power project in Gwadar. In addition, the Makran division will be connected to the National Grid within the next two months, and completion of the project is anticipated within 42 months.
