The Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) has issued a warning to commercial property owners, stating that no-objection certificates (NOCs) may be cancelled if outstanding commercialization and land-use charges are not paid immediately.

In a statement released on Sunday, the authority announced a final enforcement drive against commercial entities that have failed to clear millions of rupees in government dues despite receiving multiple notices.

According to HDA, several commercial properties continue to default on land-use conversion and commercialization fees, prompting the authority to initiate stricter action ahead of Eidul Azha.

Director Planning and Development Control Asghar Memon expressed concern over the continued non-payment of dues and urged property owners to settle their liabilities without further delay.

He warned that failure to comply could result in the cancellation of NOCs, along with legal action against the concerned property owners.

The authority said that repeated reminders and notices had already been issued through various channels. However, many defaulters failed to respond, leaving HDA with little choice but to proceed with enforcement measures.

Officials stated that the operation is being carried out to ensure compliance with commercial regulations and recover pending government dues, adding that the action is intended to protect the public interest and improve regulatory enforcement in Hyderabad.
