PIA Reduced Operating Losses from RS 7bn to 680 Million
According to Pakistan’s Economic Survey for 2021, Pakistan International Airlines earned Rs 97.8 billion in 2020-21.

The national airline’s operating losses have decreased from a staggering Rs 7 billion to Rs 680 million, according to a report published by Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin just yesterday.
She stated that, like all other airlines affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, PIA was impacted by the suspension of scheduled flying operations in the majority of the country and the world. PIA was similarly affected by the suspension of flying operations.

However, the national airline booked special flights to make the lives of Pakistanis stuck abroad easier. In 2020, the number of planes operated by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) decreased, while the airline’s routes increased by 81% to 74%.
