Inauguration Ceremony of Overseas Investment Desk at EZDMC
According to press sources, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has established an Overseas Investment Desk (OID) within the KP Economic Zones Development and Management Company in Peshawar (KP-EZDMC). The special desk was launched by Abdul Karim Tordhe, Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister (SACM) for Industries and Investments.

According to SACM Tordhe, the initiative will increase the ease of doing business (EOB) in the country and attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). He asserts that the provided services will make legal and procedural phases more accessible to inventors, hence accelerating the investment process. For foreign Pakistanis and international investors, the desk would simplify and streamline investment procedures.
In addition, he commended the members of the KP-EZDMC for their contributions to the development of investment-friendly industrial zones by providing industrial infrastructure.

In a separate meeting on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, SAMP recommended that work on existing development projects in the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) be expedited to facilitate Chinese investors (CPEC).
