Incentivize Investors Concerned in Tourism Sector
According to media sources, Islamabad’s Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed the necessary authorities to offer incentives to tourism sector investors. On the basis of public-private partnership projects, he urged provincial governments to rebuild outdated tourist resort structures.

While chairing a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on tourism to boost the industry, the prime minister stressed that tourism-related issues must be resolved expeditiously. Reportedly, the prime minister has instructed the relevant authorities to swiftly draft proposals to give services such as tax reduction for companies interested in establishing luxury hotels and resorts.
In addition, Prime Minister Khan stated that the historic sites and rest houses in Jhelum and the surrounding area must be rehabilitated. It was disclosed at the conference that the tourist industry in Punjab was promoted with the assistance of an international organization. It was also reported that the Punjab tourist laws and regulations will be introduced shortly.

Similarly, to promote the tourism industry in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), a master plan for four non-segregated tourism zones was developed. In addition, the Civil Aviation Authority has modified its regulations to permit the introduction of flying safari services at tourist destinations.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Imran Khan was briefed on the new tourist attractions being developed at Attock Fort and Bala Hisar Fort. It was revealed that the centralized tourist website has been made operational to promote tourism in all provinces.
