Islamabad to Undergo Changes as CDA Launches Major Projects
Islamabad: In a recent tweet from his official Twitter account, Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Noor ul Amin Mengal revealed revolutionary plans to reshape Islamabad.
The announcement emphasised a number of measures, such as the long delayed clearance of solid garbage from the Islamabad Motorway, the installation of service lanes on both sides of the IJP, the building of eight pedestrian bridges and the impending launch of an electric bus service.
The clearance of solid garbage along the IJP, a long-abandoned project, exemplifies CDA’s commitment to enhancing the attractiveness and cleanliness of the capital city.

Chairman Mengal intends to solve the continuous issue of waste accumulation and improve the environment by implementing this initiative.
A further indication that the CDA is taking proactive steps to improve traffic management and ensure a better flow of traffic is its intention to install service lanes on both sides of the IJP.

Furthermore, the CDA will construct eight pedestrian bridges over crucial places along the IJP in order to increase pedestrian comfort and safety. These bridges will facilitate pedestrian transportation while enhancing the city’s overall urban infrastructure.
In a major move towards sustainable transportation, Chairman Mengal also announced the upcoming launch of an electric bus service, scheduled to start operations by June.
