The public and stakeholders have provided feedback to the Ministry of IT & Telecom on the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy.
We was informed by sources in the Ministry of IT that the Ministry will establish a high-level committee to examine these ideas.
With the help of the artificial intelligence policy, Pakistan hopes to become a knowledge-based nation with a favorable environment for ethical AI adoption.

The group will be made up of ministry and government representatives as well as people from business and academia. The committee will examine these suggestions and hold stakeholder consultations on the policy.
The committee will also suggest modifications to the draft of the artificial intelligence policy. The Law Ministry will be consulted before sending the final draft of the IA policy. The policy draft will be referred to the federal cabinet for additional approval after receiving clearance from the Law Ministry.
The IT Ministry had also asked for feedback on this draft from other stakeholders and members of the general public.
The interest of willing AI professionals was also solicited, according to the Ministry of IT and Telecom, for consultation on the policy draft and its finalization. A few artificial intelligence-related professionals have indicated interest in joining the group, and their names are also being taken into consideration.
The goal of the policy is to move beyond just adopting technology. It will radically rethink how AI adoption is used in the local setting so that new growth opportunities may be found and addressed while taking the relevance of the current labor market into account.
