Jubilee Life Insurance, Pakistan’s leading private sector life insurance company, brought together persons with disabilities (PWDs), their families, and community partners including ConnectHear and NOWPDP to honor the often-unseen contributions of caregivers under its “Lights. Camera. Inclusion.” campaign.
The initiative was designed to recognize parents and caregivers whose constant support, resilience, and dedication help individuals with disabilities overcome challenges and achieve personal and professional milestones.
Organized in collaboration with the Karachi Vocational Training Centre (KVTC) and the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP), the event was held in celebration of Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, offering a more inclusive and meaningful approach to traditional observances. An inclusive movie experience was arranged, allowing families to spend quality time together in an environment centered on belonging and appreciation.
Participants included persons with disabilities and their families from KVTC, KDSP, and Jubilee Life, along with representatives from partner organizations such as ConnectHear and NOWPDP. The gathering highlighted that inclusion is built not only through policies and initiatives but also through empathy, shared experiences, and human connection.
Speaking on the occasion, Javed Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Jubilee Life Insurance, said that behind every individual who overcomes barriers is often a caregiver whose unwavering love and support makes success possible. He added that the initiative aimed to bring such individuals into the spotlight and acknowledge their invaluable role in shaping lives.
Group Head HRMD, Farukh Iftekhar, noted that while achievements of persons with disabilities are increasingly recognized, the struggles and sacrifices of their families often remain unseen. He emphasized that the campaign seeks to honor the everyday strength and dedication of caregivers who quietly enable progress and opportunity.
The initiative is part of Jubilee Life’s broader Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy and aligns with its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments. Through ongoing partnerships with organizations focused on accessibility and inclusion, the company continues to support opportunities that empower persons with disabilities and their families.
