K-P Businessmen Seek Removal of Property Tax
Peshawar: Peshawar’s businessmen have voiced concern over the collection of property tax from two industrial estates, describing it as double taxation that should be eliminated immediately.

During a meeting, they encouraged the provincial government to reconsider its minimum pay determination for industrial workers in light of the province’s existing resources and capacity.
The industrialists criticized the collection of high taxes by the town’s municipality, calling it entirely unreasonable and unfair, and demanded an immediate end to such unlawful taxes.

Moreover, he guaranteed that concerns relating to collecting high taxes by town municipalities, property taxes, and others will be resolved amicably.
Also present at the meeting was the adviser to the prime minister, Abdul Karim, who informed the businesspeople that the subject of property tax will be brought up with the provincial department of excise and taxation.
