Karachi Gets Second Miyawaki Forest at Boat Basin
Karachi: According to news reports, Karachi City Administrator Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated Karachi’s second Miyawaki forest near Boat Basin. Following the Metropolis Hotel Forest Project, this effort is the second of its sort to be constructed with the support of Ndirshaw Edulji Dinshaw (NED) University Karachi.
According to Wahab, the city administration of Karachi intends to implement 300 such Miyawaki forest initiatives to solve the city’s escalating climate change-related concerns. To reduce environmental deterioration, all of these efforts will be created with the aid of private firms and citizens at a rapid rate.

In a separate development, the city administrator announced during a visit to the west Kimari neighborhood that the provincial government wants to rebuild 17 decrepit highways in the city, including the PKR 720 million State Avenue and Valika Road.
He remarked that the administration is exerting every effort to enhance the city’s transportation services. In addition, he indicated that the local government aims to construct an additional 15 roads in the Site area.
