KARACHI: A new flyover at Korangi No. 5 has been opened to traffic following its inauguration by Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, marking another addition to the city’s road infrastructure.

Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 750 million, the flyover is designed to improve traffic flow and provide better connectivity between Korangi, Landhi, Shah Faisal Colony and Ibrahim Hyderi.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the project alongside Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah and other officials. The elevated route is expected to provide motorists with a more efficient passage through the busy Korangi No. 5 area.

The project is part of ongoing infrastructure development under the #KarachiWorks initiative, which aims to improve transportation networks and road connectivity across Karachi.

The opening of the flyover is expected to ease movement in one of the city’s important urban corridors while supporting smoother connections between residential and commercial areas.
