Karachi’s South District to be Turned into Model District
According to media reports, Karachi Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon announced that South District will be transformed into a model district by upgrading parks and removing encroachments.

In South District, the commissioner visited Muslim Gymkhana, the park adjacent to the Federation House, Bagh Ibn e Qasim, YMCA Ground, Shaheen Complex, Village Garden Restaurant, Baradari Parking, YMCA Ground, and Jahangir Feroz Shah Culture Institute.
During the visit, he was briefed on the Supreme Court-ordered anti-encroachment operation. The anti-encroachment operation conducted near the KCR route was reported to Commissioner Memon.

In addition, the commissioner instructed the appropriate authorities to revive sports activities at YMCA Ground and was informed of the anti-encroachment efforts conducted at the aforementioned ground. The green belt, jogging track, and repairs to the old building have reportedly been completed, while lights and grills have been installed around it.
