KCR Inaugurated PM for Revival of Bundle Island Project
Karachi: According to news reports, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan performed the official groundbreaking for the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project.

The premier urged the provincial government to reconsider the Bundle Island Project during his address at the inauguration. On a one-day visit to the coastal metropolis, the prime minister Khan inaugurated and reviewed the ongoing infrastructure and development projects. According to the design, the KCR structure will be completed with approximately 20 billion Pakistani rupees and 31 stations throughout the city.

Recently, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) authorised the construction of 22 flyovers and underpasses to alleviate traffic congestion at level crossings.
Under the Public-Private Partnership (3P) finance model, the project is being built in conjunction with international investors. The overall cost of the project will be split between the central government and the province, and it will be finished in three parts.
