The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has directed officials to accelerate construction at the Peoples Skyview Housing Project in Karachi following concerns over delays. KDA Director General Zain-ul-Abideen Ansari emphasized that construction must progress more quickly without compromising building quality.

The directions were issued during his inspection visit to the project site in Sector 7-B, Surjani Town. Supported by the Sindh government, the housing scheme aims to provide affordable residential accommodation to people seeking housing options in Karachi.

During the visit, Ansari reviewed ongoing construction activities, building materials and the overall standard of work. He also inspected the site office and model flat to assess the project’s progress and identify issues affecting construction.

Following the inspection, the KDA director general instructed the concerned executive engineer to resolve existing problems and accelerate development work. He stressed that construction quality and compliance with proper building standards must remain priorities despite efforts to speed up completion.

Ansari also directed officials to submit a detailed report within one week. The report is expected to outline the reasons for construction delays, provide details of building materials and their costs, and identify outstanding issues requiring attention.

KDA Director Estate Enforcement Syed Zain Shah accompanied Ansari during the visit. The inspection aimed to identify obstacles, improve construction progress and ensure that the relevant officials take appropriate corrective measures.

The Peoples Skyview Housing Project is part of the Sindh government’s efforts to expand access to affordable housing in Karachi. The latest directives indicate that the KDA is seeking to address construction delays and move the project closer to completion.

For prospective homebuyers, construction progress and delivery timelines remain important considerations when evaluating government-backed housing schemes. However, no revised completion date, confirmed apartment prices or new booking details were announced in the available information.

The next key development will be the detailed report requested by the KDA director general. Its findings are expected to help authorities identify the causes of delays and determine the measures needed to improve the project’s progress.
