PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has set January 31, 2027, as the target date for completing the Peshawar Northern Bypass project, as the National Highway Authority (NHA) steps up construction work on the remaining sections.
According to the latest project figures, construction on Package-I has been completed, while Package-II has reached 79 percent completion. Work on Package-III-A is 82 percent complete, while Package-III-B has reached 75 percent.

Construction is also continuing on the Charsadda Road Flyover, where approximately 25 percent of the work has been completed. The varying completion rates indicate that several sections still require further work before the overall project can be finished.
The NHA is accelerating construction activities to meet the January deadline. Progress on the remaining packages and the flyover will be important in determining whether the project can be completed within the announced timeframe.

The Peshawar Northern Bypass is a major road infrastructure project expected to improve connectivity around the provincial capital. Once completed, it could provide an alternative route for traffic and help facilitate movement between different parts of the city and surrounding areas.
However, the January 31, 2027, date remains a target, and the final completion will depend on progress across the unfinished sections. Further updates from the NHA and the provincial government are expected to provide a clearer picture of the project’s construction schedule.
