KP Gets its First Regional Stock Exchange Office
Taimur Khan Jhagra, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Finance and Health, opened the first Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) regional office in Peshawar, according to news reports. The new PSX regional office of the KP began trading following the official gong-ringing ceremony.

According to a news release issued by the KP administration, the event was a significant step toward the economic development of the province. In addition, the minister stated that the KP chapter of the PSX will raise funds for a variety of infrastructure projects undertaken by the government, corporations, and businesses.

The minister stated that with the PSX Peshawar office, the province’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will have greater access to the financial market and be able to contribute more to the growth of the nation.
Finance Minister Jhagra announced an important Initial Public Offering (IPO) of a KP steel company on the PSX on this occasion. Notably, the KP business and stock were previously managed by the PSX’s northern regional office in Islamabad.
