Industrialists Joint Efforts to Overcome Environmental Pollution

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provincial government and businesses have unanimously agreed to work together to combat the growing environmental pollution problem.

Participants at the meeting made a number of recommendations to combat the escalating environmental pollution using cutting-edge technology and methods, which were generally accepted.

The meeting determined that KPEZDMC would employ a technical consultant within seven working days who would visit each chipboard industry to consult and recommend a standardized, low-cost, and high-efficiency pollution control system to meet national environmental criteria.

Also agreed upon was the formation of a subcommittee to study the EPA’s articles on plastic bags.

The meeting stated that if feasible, this subcommittee may hire a technical expert who would recommend upgrading existing plastic bag production machinery and systems in order to alter the final product.
