KP Mulls 10-Year Tax Holiday for Promotion of Tourism
Peshawar: According to news reports, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration revealed plans to offer a 5- to 10-year tax vacation in order to encourage investment in the province’s tourism industry. The Ministries of Finance and National Revenue have also been asked for a response in this regard by the government.
According to reports, tax exemptions will be provided to investors for the development of four-star hotels of an international grade or tourism infrastructure in the proposed Integrated Tourism Zones (ITZs).
In response to the government’s offer, the Malaysian hotel chain AJM Planning and Urban Design Group (APUDG) has suggested creating four tourist-focused zones in the province to expand the industry and draw more tourists from across the globe.

The company has created a master plan for four tourism zones: Mankial (Swat), Thandiani (Abbottabad), Ganol (Mansehra), and Madaklasht, according to the group’s managing director (MD), Norliza Hashim (Lower Chitral).
The proposed plan calls for the construction of a road system, a 428-room hotel, and a tourist resort in the Thandiani Integrated Tourism Zone in addition to the development of the tourist attractions.
