KP to Announce Record Rs 1 trillion Budget Today
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration will release the province’s highest budget ever, with an expenditure of nearly Rs 1 trillion.
The second-to-last budget of the current administration will be submitted to the provincial parliament.

In accordance with Rule 33(1) of the KP Government Rules of Business, 1985, the parliament will be provided with the annual budget for the fiscal year 2021-22, according to a notification issued by the assembly’s secretariat.
Official sources familiar with the budget’s preparation informed the concerned officials that the budget had been finalised and would have an expenditure of over 1 trillion rupees, the greatest in the history of the province.
An official stated that the annual development programme (ADP) would comprise a provincial component of Rs150 billion and over Rs89 billion for projects supported by donors.

The proposed ADP for the amalgamated tribal districts exceeds Rs 30 billion.
During the whole budget session, the security staff of the assembly’s secretariat was instructed to maintain vigilance and deny access to the assembly’s grounds to any individuals other than the MPAs’ drivers.
