LDA Approve PKR 6 Billion for Development Projects
According to news reports, Mr. Ahmad Aziz Tarar, director general of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), has authorized a budget of PKR 6.34 billion for 282 ongoing and new building and development projects in the city.

The decision to release cash was taken to reduce the amount of funds that will go unused during the current fiscal year 2021-22. According to sources, the Chief Engineer will be held personally responsible for any future financial shortfalls. During the previous fiscal year, LDA reportedly utilized only 22% of available funds.
With the release of money, construction projects will be finished on time. The following are the project specifications:
Over PKR 910 million has been granted for the area development programme. PKR 240 million has been allocated for the EME Directorate. PKR 440 million has been allocated for the Buildings Directorate. PKR 4 billion has been authorized for the development work of the LDA City Project. PKR 370 million has been allocated for various road maintenance and development projects.

The Gulberg sewage pipeline project has a budget of PKR 80.90 million and is one of the projects. The sewage infrastructure will be constructed to accommodate the area’s expanding multistory constructions. Gulberg J Block I, J Block Gulberg III, and C3 Block Gulberg III will be included in the service area.
