In the provincial capital, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has stepped up its efforts to dismantle unauthorized building projects. The authorities sealed and destroyed a number of buildings and assets on Friday.
Details indicate that officers carried out operations against unapproved buildings and properties in Ferozepur Road areas, Johar Town, Nasheman Iqbal, and the Controlled Area, following the directives of Director General LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa.

An illegal commercial hall, service station, workshop, stores, double-story building, and a few other illegal structures were demolished by an LDA team, according to a report. Additionally, 25 stores were sealed by the authorities.
Director Town Planning VII, Director Town Planning IV, and Chief Town Planner II, Azhar Ali, oversaw the operation’s oversight. Prior to the operation, several notices had been sent to the properties that were taken or demolished.
