LDA Ordered to Develop Master Plan for Lahore Division

According to recent reports, the government has instructed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to draft the Lahore Division Master Plan. Under the proposed plan, LDA will develop a master plan for Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, and Kasur districts.

The LDA has consulted the governing body in an effort to settle the border demarcation issue. The governing body wrote minutes to address the issues, and a copy was submitted for approval to the Chief Minister Office (CMO). The LDA has already presented the Kasur, Nankana, and Sheikhupura plans to their respective District Councils, despite the fact that the ordinance is still the subject of dispute.

According to the specifics, the provincial legislature is currently challenging the ordinance defining the master plan. Due to the lack of discussion and adoption of the ordinance in the Assembly, administrative gaps exist in the LDA’s activities.
