LDA to Approve Multi-Billion Rupee Development Projects

Lahore: According to news reports, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has agreed to provide PKR 12 billion for the completion of ongoing development projects in the upcoming fiscal year. The governing body’s approval will be sought for the proposed budget.

With a budget of KR 12,005 billion, 27 projects will be completed in total. The following tasks will be done within the budget:

Two billion Pakistani rupees for the creation and construction of missing structured plan road links
Two million Pakistani rupees for the repair of roads in Allama Iqbal Town
Ten million Pakistani rupees for the building of the ‘Joday Pull’ crossroads in Allama Iqbal Town
Twenty-five million Pakistani rupees for the patching and renovation of roads in Faisal Town
PKR 30,500,000 for the development of roads in Johar’s Block B1 and G3
The construction of the main sewage line from Mohalanwal to Jubilee Town will cost PKR 200 million.

PKR 1.2 billion to alleviate the Samanabad traffic congestion issue Chowk
PKR 2,300,000,000 for the construction and widening of the road from Harbans Pura to the B.R.B canal.
760 million Pakistani rupees for the renovation, reconstruction, and special maintenance of Canal Road underpasses
Two billion Pakistani rupees are designated for the construction of gates and the enhancement of municipal entrances and exits.
The renovation of Akbar Chowk has been given PKR 1.2 billion.
