LDA to Introduce e-Tendering to Ensure Transparency
Lahore: The Vice Chairman Secretariat of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has decided to use electronic tendering in response to public complaints and media reports regarding a lack of openness in the tendering and bidding process for various projects.

On the other hand, the chief minister recently instructed senior officials at a meeting of the LDA Governing Council to ensure a competitive bidding procedure in order to give all large and small enterprises interested in completing projects similar opportunity.
According to this arrangement, any company wishing to bid on a project won’t need to visit the engineering section’s (Urban Development Wing) offices; instead, they can download the tender from a recently developed app connected to the LDA website, Governing Body member Amir Riaz Qureshi informed the appropriate authorities.
He said that Mr. Imran’s directive to create e-tendering will also put an end to the pooling culture, which allows prospective contractors to win projects by paying off less interested parties in exchange for their withdrawal in cooperation with the relevant offices.
She claimed that the CM shared her opinion that all businesses should be given an equal chance to carry out development projects.
