LESCO to Cut Illegal Housing Schemes’ Electricity Supply
According to sources, Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) declared on Monday that electricity will be cut off to unlawful housing developments in Lahore. The administration will soon compile a list of housing initiatives.

LESCO will also conduct operations in the Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern regions, where illegal housing societies supply energy to unapproved apartment complexes.
The authorities have also decided to cut off the deed defaulters’ utilities. Lahore Commissioner Captain (Ret) Muhammad Usman has also asked officials to remove all wires from Gulberg’s Main Boulevard.

According to the commissioner, all cables besides electricity cables will run underground. In addition, he ordered that there be no buildings and that construction materials be placed on the road. If this rule is violated, the owners or those in control will be subject to legal action.
